About It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World: My personal favorite comedy of all time and something of a miracle considering the cast – the most amazing collection of comedic talent ever assembled in one picture; and the fact that it was directed by Stanley Kramer whose reputation at the time was defined by a series of hard hitting dramas dealing with serious social and political issues. It’s long, it’s loud, it’s raucous and it’s absolutely hysterical. Starring Sid Caesar, Milton Berle, Jonathan Winters, Mickey Rooney, Phil Silvers, Ethel Merman, Terry-Thomas, Dick Shawn, Buddy Hackett, Spencer Tracy and featuring cameos by Jack Benny, Jerry Lewis, Don Knotts, Buster Keaton and yes, even the Three Stooges.
