It’s always a pleasure to welcome vocalist Alyssa Allgood back to the Studio5 stage. She is poised, musically mature beyond her years, and she can scat up a storm. The last time I saw Alyssa she told me about a brand new quartet she’s sporting — to go with the cool new glasses, apparently — and I’m really eager to hear them live. This group is new enough, in fact, that I don’t even have a video to share with you … so you’ll just have to watch an old clip of her ripping it up at the Green Mill on “Exactly Like You” until you come on out to check out version 2.0!
